Particulare of the Office of Assistent Superintendent, Botanical and Forestry Department, now vacant in the Colony of Hongkong.

1. Duties of Office, end

qualifications required for their performance.

The supervision of the different worke connected with Forestry including the selection and demarcation of areas for re- afforestation and the supervision of the Botanic and other Gardens under the Department. Qualifications: A practical and scientific knowledge of Forestry and Horticulture.

2. Salary of Office.

3. Allowances, quarters, and

other circumstances affecting the value of the Office.

4. Pessages.

5. General.

£400 to £500 by £10 annually, payable while in the Colony at the rates of exchange in force for European Officers generally, which are at present as in attached circular. A

Bent allowance or rented quarters

in accordance with the terms of the attached circular. B

Conveyance allowance 360 per

annizz.

The rates of these allowances are subject to alteration at the discretion of Government.

Free passages to and from leave are at present granted in accordance with the terms of the attached circular. C

The officer appointed will be subject to the rules as to discipline, leave, &c,, leid down in the General Orders of the Hongkong Government.
